GPT-5 is a large language model from OpenAI for high-stakes applications that need step-by-step reasoning, precise instruction following, and reliable code generation. It improves factual accuracy and understanding of user intent, and reduces hallucination and sycophancy. It supports test-time routing and user-specified intent (such as asking it to think hard about a problem), and is optimized for complex workflows in coding, writing, and health-related domains.

Throughput is how fast the model writes (tokens per second, higher is better). Time to first token is how long before the answer starts (lower is better).
Share of requests served without a server error. Client errors (4xx) do not count.
